A noise gate suppresses background sound and peak normalization boosts your voice before transcription, improving accuracy in noisy environments.

Need to re-use a transcription? The menu bar keeps your last message one click away. Copy it instantly from the Nodio menu.
How it works

Hold Fn to record
Press and hold the Fn / Globe key on your Mac. The floating pill appears with a live waveform — Nodio is listening.

Release to transcribe
Let go of Fn. Nodio applies a noise gate and normalization, then runs on-device speech recognition on the enhanced audio.

Text lands where you are
The transcription is injected at your cursor in the focused text field. No field? It copies to your clipboard with a confirmation sound.
